YOTEL | SAN FRANCISCO
The first Yotel on the west coast, and the first to be located in a historic building. Our goal for the public areas (and the VIP Suite) in this project was to meld the futuristic modern style of the Yotel brand with the beautiful historic details of the, Washington Roebling designed, Grant Building.
Since the project is located in a historic building we wanted to reuse and feature materials from the building, like the salvaged marble that now makes up the wainscot and elevator wall in the lobby, or the original cast iron and marble staircase that connects the guestroom levels of the hotel.
Tying everything back to the Yotel signature aesthetic, there are touches of purple throughout the space, and we incorporated pieces by some of the best contemporary designers, like Paola Lenti and Patricia Urquiola. The resulting amalgamation of the handcrafted past and technology inspired futurism creates a design experience truly unique to San Francisco.
